Manuela Ciugudean, Founder

Working with Dragos was one of the best decisions I made for my entrepreneurial dream. He has one of the rarest qualities I find in professionals nowadays – the ability to get straight to the point in the shortest possible period of time. Working with him means time efficiency for me. As I am a new mother, time is gold to me. Dragos fully understood this and we set the details of our cooperation fast and just as quickly, he gave me the best guidance to configure a sustainable business. He supported my ideas, and he empowered me.

About Manuela

Manuela is the founder of PINGUINII, a new lifestyle brand that aims to celebrate mothers and maternity, and bring families together in a creative way. She decided to become an entrepreneur after her son Andi was born two years ago. She describes PINGUINII as the revelation of her maternity and the dearest project to her heart.

PINGUINII is the result of Manuela’s own need and struggle to find a unique, trustful resource for pregnancy, maternity and baby products in Romania and South East Europe. A “one pit stop” place that combines care for the environment, quality fabrics, safe and innovative design, plus cool style – all on and the PINGUINII concept store and event hall downtown Bucharest.

Manuela has over 15 years of experience leading innovative marketing strategy and execution in South East European markets. In her last role as employee, she was the South East Europe Marketing, Communication and Business Development Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She lead a multi-national, cross border team responsible with brand management in 18 countries. Her main assignment was the development of the integrated marketing & communications strategy across SEE, which shaped the image of the company on the market. Prior to that, she was in charge of the marketing and communications activities of Intel Corporation in South East Europe, as Marketing and Public Relations Manager. Before, she held communication-related positions within the World Bank, the Romanian Government and Grayling Public Relations and Public Affairs Agency. In her early professional years, she was a journalist.
